Things you should know about shipping meat.
Every shipment has a cooler and dry ice which will cost you $20.
Remember everything is perishable and has to get to its destination in 2 days time. If you live in Iowa shipments are guaranteed to arrive the next day. North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio are all considered close to Iowa and can be shipped Ground UPS getting there in 2 days. Shipping Charges will vary depending on how much weight is going to be shipped. Our largest shipping cooler will hold about 35 lbs of meat. Shipping Charges have been ranging for those states to be about $22 to $28. All other states will have to ship UPS 2nd Day Air. The same charges apply for the cooler and the dry ice of $20. Shipping Charges to 2nd day Air are a lot more expensive. From our experience in shipping that far away from Iowa shipping charges can range from $100 to $180 alone. Then you also have to pay for the meat you purchase and the cooler/dry ice.All the prices I have stated above are just estimated quotes on the UPS Shipping. Exact charges we can not give you until we have the order, get the box of meat weighed and then UPS will tell us the exact shipping charge. We do not set the rates for UPS we just pass on what they bill us for the box of meat. We then pass that shipping charge on to you.
